April Showers Bring May Flow(er)s

After a drought, it can take a minute to get the creaky old water wheel spinning again. The water slowly covers the base of the wheel, moving up to catch the first spokes and knock off any rust from the works, but then soon it’s moving with the pace of the new water once again.

So it is with creativity. And, so it is with the lack of it.

Takes a minute to shake off that rust, remember how to spin with the current, and generate the power to keep this metaphor from breaking down. Oh nope, there it goes.

So life is interesting, is it not? The last few years have moved at top speed while seeming to not move at all. Last year came to a halt, then moved so fast there was no time for breath. Then, a drought.

But now spring is here, and with it new water, new life, new creative flow.

We hope!
